Balance beam with Daddy

Colton earned a special date and since it was sunny,(a rare treat), AND Robert had the day off work,(even rarer), we went to play at the big park. We had fun playing "Pooh sticks." That's the game where you drop the sitck into the water and watch for it on the other side of the bridge or whatever you are standing on. We played hide and seek, he rode his tricycle, and we just enjoyed the sun as a family. Unfortunately, Katie had really bad heartburn and stayed in the car the whole time. :(

Cardinal Team cheer

Colton is standing next to his coach, so you can barely see him, but he's there yelling with everybody else-smile!

"I'll eat trash forever more!",quoth the Raven.

The funniest thing happened today. We put out the trash and the ravens kept coming back. What can you do but laugh when your "ferocious" family dog is posted out there and just wags his tail and watches them spread your trash all over the neighborhood. So, here we are having a funny time with the ravens.

Say eck!

Colton is learning about taste buds and so we did a taste test. This was his reaction to the "salty" salt.

Easter lapbook

Colton learned what Easter is all about-our risen Savior! We did the parable of the sower, the empty tomb, the story of the cross, a shapes acitivty that went with the life of Christ, and some other things. He tok it to church Easter Sunday before it was finished to show it off.

Carson is learning to walk. What a sweet time this is! He is taking his own precious time even though he knows how to do it. We are all enjoying every success he has at this new skill!

School with Colton

I just aded Five in a Row to the school I'm doing with Colton. It's enriching what he's learning by a ton since we're lapbooking with it. We'll be finishing his first lapbook soon and I'll post some photos of it.

Colton as a pirate

Faces everyone

The girls are learning the art of facepainting, so here are a few of the faces they've done. (Some are done using facepainting crayons instead of paint.)
Eli as a tiger, Savannah as a butterfly, Solomon as a pirate, and Ephraim as Batman.

Thankful for Easter

We are so thankful for our risen Savior! We've had a beautiful spring day today. Thank you God for your blessings!

The first posting!

Yeah! I can't believe I am doing this! My teenagers can't either! Who knows where this will go....it will be fun no matter what! We've had a fun weekend. We went out and did a little "land fishing" yesterday at the local mall. We went and shared the gospel with people at the mall and gave out some tracts with our pastor and his family.
The girls are practicing face painting for our upcoming homeschool fair on April 30. They will be offering this to the homeschoolers from 11-3pm that day. I'm going to try to post some faces they've done if I can figure it out.
It's actually sunny today! Our family pictures we took aren't so good because of the brightness. I'll attach them, too if I can.
