Project Ezra for the week (8-15-09)

Some of us from church met and the pastor reviewed the correct way to present the gospel to the lost. He emphasized the importance of the fact that Jesus is fully man and fully God. Also, that in the light of God's law, we are all law breakers and how Galatians 3:24 says the "law acts as a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ that we might be justified by faith." There is also the danger of God's wrath on those who choose not to repent. He reminded us that we need to give the good news only to those that are convicted because the cross is foolishness to the perishing.
We then went downtown and split up into teams. We got our assignments and started passing out the coolest tracts. You should go to www.onemilliontracts.com and check out Also, www.livingwaters.com has EXCELLENT information and free stuff for people who just want to see what it's like to share their faith in a biblical way. They have some good videos and hands-on stuff.) We had some interesting witnessing encounters as we talked with the folks-mostly tourists visiting here. Some people get mad-a sign of conviction. Some people heard us out and were convicted as well. Others, still were staunch in their own "belief systems" and refused the gospel. However as we talked one-on-one, read God's word aloud, gave out tracts, and left them in places for others to find, we prayed for God to be getting the glory. That we were single-mindedly serving the God who gave us life and breath. His word went out today. Thank you God for allowing us to be a part of this!
Christian, what would you tell someone who was dying? Someone who had 3 minutes to live? Someone who has been stabbed, perhaps and their life's blood is spilling out in front of you? What if they looked at you and said, "I'm scared, I'm going to die. What's going to happen to me?" Here's a good place to start to find out what to say....http://thelawmanchronicles.blogspot.com/2009/08/so-whats-your-problem-with-rick-warren.html This is a blog post response-read through it and you'll find some good info.
Thanks for reading and please think about this stuff. Think about sharing your faith. Think about it. 150,000 people die everyday and are ushered into eternity.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
